Welcome to Pontus Wallstén Plants,

A nursery specialized in rare and unusual bulbs and plants from all around the world, with a special focus on lilium (lily) species and hybrids, as well as arisaemas and cardiocrinum.

Based in Switzerland in Perroy (VD). Open 7 days a week from march-november upon appointment ONLY.

You will find plants by searching the various catalogues available below, which will take you to the species available to purchase. The plants are divided up according to genus, but there are also a few special sections. One on tender bulbs and one with autumn flowering bulbs.

Dispatch times are indicated under each genus Precise numbers available are listed and regularly updated on the website, as well as photographs of most of the plants and bulbs.

For more info on a plant, please klick on thumbnail pictures of corresponding species or hybrids within each section.

Prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) per bulb/plant, and reflect the rarity of the plant, and its age/size.

Cyclamen Hederifolium 'Red Sky'

A strain selected and raised from seed in germany, and then further propagated in holland, before going to england where the best, deepest purple and burgundy colours and shaded where selected from several hundred plants. I was then able to aquire 15 hand picked plants from the batch of best seedlings, so these 15 plants available all have the richest possible shades imaginable. A shade so intense and beautufull that it has proven impossible to realistically capture with film or digital cameras, therefore I asked Veronica Ward, an english artist, to paint one for me. This is the painting you can admire above.

This stays in flower for a very long time, from august to late november.
